A small team that shows up with the gear and stays until it works.

FestiFi started because too many good events were being let down by bad internet, and the fix was usually straightforward if someone who understood both networks and events turned up early enough.

How we work

Every event gets a network designed for it, not a box pulled off a shelf. We look at the site, work out what has to stay online, and build in a backup for anything that handles money or a broadcast.

We write things down. Clients who buy a kit from us get a manual their own staff can follow, and clients who hire us get a clear plan before event day with no surprises on the invoice.

And we're there. For bigger events that means a technician on site from set-up to pack-down. For smaller ones it means a phone that gets answered.

The kit we trust

  • StarlinkSatellite internet for sites with no fibre or coverage
  • Enterprise Wi-FiManaged switches and access points from UniFi, Grandstream, MikroTik and Netgear
  • Multi-carrier4G and 5G routers across more than one NZ network
  • WeatherproofOutdoor-rated access points and cases built for a Kiwi summer

Who turns up

A small Waikato-based crew. The person who quotes your job is the person who builds it, and the number on the quote is the number that answers on event day. Our lead engineer holds CommScope and Legrand installer certifications, so permanent cabling and network installs are done to a recognised standard.
